We incorporate a lot of games and activities (including non soccer related) into Kicking Cancer which will be great for younger children who may not be interested in soccer and have a shorter attention span! SUMMARY:Friends Friday Films: Creed
DESCRIPTION:There’s no longer-lived or better-known program associated with Greenwich Library than the Friends Friday Film Series\, now 69 years old. The screening of the day is Creed (2015\, directed by Ryan Coogler). The latest and greatest in the “Rocky” boxing series pairs a mellow Rocky with the son of Apollo Creed\, a man he once fought in the ring. Surprisingly\, this time critics gushed over the film. Friends Friday Films are open to all at no charge through the support of the Friends of Greenwich Library.

SUMMARY:Invertebrates: No Backbone\, No Problem!
DESCRIPTION:Join the Friends of Greenwich Point and the Stamford Museum & Nature Center as they delve into the world of the invertebrates – the animals without backbones! Although it’s tempting to call anything that creeps and crawls a “bug”\, we’ll meet plenty of invertebrates besides insects.  Invertebrates that hiss\, burrow\, climb\, sting\, and more will all make an appearance\, along with some furred predators that may see them as a tasty snack.\n\nLive animals and a fun activity will be featured in this family-friendly program.  Daring participants will have an opportunity to handle some of the animals! The extra daring may even opt to sample some edible insects…\n\nFor more information\, please email the Friends of Greenwich Point Education Committee at info@friendsofgreenwichpoint.org
