Assertive! This three-person exhibition pushes the possibilities with materials, color and scale. Creating a kind of psychology of visual experience, Palma Blank, Stephen Maine and Doreen McCarthy employ a variety of juxtapositions in their work. By questioning notions of both depth and flatness, illusion and objecthood, or gravitational force and weight, the viewer can connect imaginatively and physically with the artworks presented in Extra Extra.
