Junior League Kicks Off Coin Drive to Support Byram Pool

With summer just around the corner and the opening of the new Greenwich Pool in Byram Park in June, the Junior League of Greenwich announced the kick off of its “Bring Your Change to Make a Change” Coin Drive to support the new Greenwich Pool in Byram Park. Town Wide ‘Stamp Out Hunger’ Food Drive Set for May 12

May 12 marks the National Association of Letter Carriers’ 26th annual “Stamp Out Hunger” food drive to benefit Neighbor to Neighbor. This annual drive, by far the largest for Greenwich’s local food pantry, stocks the pantry shelves during the lean summer months. “This food drive comes at a time when our pantry shelves are running bare,” says Neighbor to Neighbor Executive Director Nancy Coughlin. “Each week we provide nutritious food at no cost for 1,000 Greenwich residents, half of whom are children.” read more...

Greenwich Preservation Month, Photo Contest

Greenwich Historical Society announced that May will be designated “Greenwich Preservation Month: This Place Matters!” for the second consecutive year. Inspired by the National Trust for Historic Preservation’s initiative to drive preservation at the local level, the promotion and companion photo contest kicked off at the Historical Society’s Landmarks Recognition reception on April 29 when Greenwich First Selectman Peter J. Greenwich Board of Selectmen Enact Snow Emergency

In anticipation of a heavy snowstorm expected to begin overnight Tuesday, March 6 through Thursday, March 8, Greenwich Town Hall will be closed for business on Wednesday, March 7.
