New Express Collection Launches at Byram Library

Beginning in January, Byram Shubert Library patrons can find in-demand book titles available to borrow immediately thanks to the Library’s new Express Collection. Books in the Express Collection are available on a first-come, first-served basis and can be borrowed immediately for seven days with no renewals. Books in the Express Collection cannot be placed on hold and overdue fines are $1.00 a day ($10 max). Pen Women Hold Art Exhibit at Byram Library

Five area artists are showing their work in an exhibit entitled “Welcoming Moments” at the Byram Shubert Library, 21 Mead Ave., from November 2-30. Each artist has her own individual style, from the Abstract Expressionist paintings by Sharon Shisler, to the abstract oils and embroideries of Carol Nipomnich Dixon, to the naturalistic landscapes of Lucie Anderes, the abstract collages of Katia Streiff, and the mixed media representational art of Vivian Bergenthal. read more...

Greenwich Library, Branches Kick Off Summer Reading Program

The theme of this year’s Summer Reading Program at Greenwich Library is “A Universe of Stories,” and it’s all about inspiring children of all ages to dream big, believe in themselves, and create their own story. The program will also coincide with NASA’s 60 years of achievement and its celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 Moon Landing. It features events and activities that encourage children to exercise their minds, spark their creativity and expand their universe of learning. read more...
