Column: Stalin’s War: A New History of WW II

Initially, Stalin had wanted World War II to break out, thinking that it would weaken the leading capitalist countries to the benefit of the Soviet Union. When Germany attacked the Soviet Union, his nation was unprepared, and depended heavily on the U.S. lend-lease program for machinery and provisions. In spite of this, Stalin remained neutral in the Pacific war until mid-1945, and imprisoned U.S. pilots who landed or crashed in Russia after bombing raids on Japan.

The Undies Project’s ‘Everyone Needs Undies’ Campaign is Underway

The Undies Project raises money to purchase new underwear to donate to its 37 partner agencies who serve those who are homeless, living in shelters or who are on a low income. For them underwear is a necessity not a luxury. Without the support of local communities, individuals and businesses The Undies Project could not fulfill its mission to provide new underwear to men, women and children in need to improve their lives. The Undies Project is looking for your help to raise $10,000 through its online fundraiser, "Everyone Needs Undies" to cover this need.
