‘Native Plants at Greenwich Point’ program to be held June 11

Friends of Greenwich Point and Stamford Museum and Nature Center (SM&NC) present “Native Plants at Greenwich Point”, Sunday, June 11, 1:00pm.

An environmental educator from SM&NC will reinforce the role of native plants which are essential to the source of food and habitat for birds, insects, and other wildlife, as well as the detrimental effects of invasive species. Participants will be given a seedling to take home.
The program will begin at the Cow Barn, followed by a short walk to see the Wildflower Meadow, a work in progress that has been registered as Monarch Waystation with the organization Monarch Watch.
Participants will continue toward the Mansion to see the site of the future Bird Water Garden, a gift from Friends of Greenwich Point, and another work in progress.
