Obituary: Angela Boyles

Angela Boyles

Angela (Dolly) Chiappetta Boyles, a lifelong resident of Cos Cob, CT, passed away peacefully on February 3 at Greenwich Hospital. She was 91 years old.

Dolly lived a beautiful, meaningful and successful life. She had a 40 year career in business, holding titles such as Technical Editorial Assistant, Senior Secretary, and Secretary during two separate stints at Pitney Bowes Inc. in Stamford, CT. She also owned her own secretarial business, was an office manager at McCauley Enterprises and a bookkeeper at New England Oil Go., in Greenwich.

Dolly was a loving, caring, and giving person to all who knew her. It’s no surprise that Dolly became her nickname at a very young age. Her personality was deeply rooted in unwavering kindness and understanding. She lived her life gracefully and selflessly, always with the sincere intention of helping others before herself.

Dolly’s true passions were cooking and baking. They paired well with her altruistic demeanor, as she always shared her delicious meals and desserts with everyone that she knew. Her house was a place where all were welcomed with warmth and open arms. She was also an avid sports fan. You could always find her watching the New York Rangers and New York Yankees.

Dolly is survived by her son, Jack Michael Boyles (Laura), and the love of her life, her granddaughter, Stephanie Boyles (Elizabeth Joseph) of Wilton, CT. She was predeceased by her parents, Michele Chiappetta and Angelina Chiappetta, of Cos Cob, CT.

A visitation and celebration of Dolly’s life will be held at Coxe & Graziano Funeral Home. It will be followed by interment at Putnam Cemetery, North St., Greenwich. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a memorial donation to Dolly’s favorite charity, St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
