“To the people of Greenwich and Stamford in the 149th,

This morning, I called my opponent, gave her my congratulations, and wished her all my best in representing the 149th.

It has been an honor working for you, guided by my oath to uphold the U.S. Constitution and the state Constitution, and to keep my promise to bring transparency to state government.

There have been many highlights to the work I have done and the experience of being your state representative, but none more rewarding than showing my children that it is worthwhile to serve one’s community in politics with grace and humility.

Our leaders in Connecticut must respect the value of the dollar, protect individual rights and property rights, defend our law enforcement officers, champion parental voices for academic excellence and educational choice, and more.

Thank you to all of you for the time, effort, and support you’ve given me these past two years and in this campaign.  I can never say “thank you” enough to the volunteers, supporters, dear friends and to my family.  I will spend the next several days trying to express my gratitude, how ever insufficient.

Thank you, thank you.
