On Friday, September 30 there were 18 of the original founding members of At Home in Greenwich gathered for a tea at the home of Frank and Sue Millard. These same people had gathered 15 years ago at the Millard’s to discuss the formation of the organization. The celebratory tea was a time to reflect on the success of the non-profit.

Many members mentioned the wonderful, intelligent, and accomplished people that they had met through the many social gatherings. From that, friendships had developed, and more opportunities to meet were created. They had dined, travelled, visited museums, and read books and poetry, and discussed current events together across those years.

Throughout those 15 years, At Home Executive Director Lise Jameson was heralded as being the heart of the organization. She had kept the organization running, even during the pandemic. Members praised her for always being there to help in the confusing times of illness and the happy times of celebration. Her commitment to the members was cited as “extraordinary. She provides a sense of safety and security.”
