The newly organized chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution joined members from the Byram Veterans Association for the annual Memorial Day Ceremony at Eugene Morlot Park. The Ceremony recognized the 13 Greenwich Veterans from World War II, the Korean War and the Vietnam War who gave their lives for our freedom today. The DAR members passed out patriotic flowers, flags and baked goods to the Veterans and Servicemen/servicewomen who were in attendance. This newly organizing chapter is welcoming new members who have a desire to support our community in a variety of ways. The  DAR, founded in 1890, is a non-profit, non-political women’s service organization dedicated to promoting patriotism and preserving American History. Anyone interested in becoming a charter member of this organizing chapter should contact Jolene Mullin, Connecticut State Chair, Chapter Development, CTDAR, at jolenem@aol.com.
