unnamed-33

Please join the BRLA for the launch of our Second Sundays event series – a wellness and nature-inspired guide to a relaxing, healthy and fun season on the BRLA trails.

On the second Sunday of each month, May – October, the BRLA is offering a range of outdoor events as a way for community members to meet each other and to discover and enjoy our beautiful trail network.  Members and non-members welcome. Register at bedfordridinglanes.org

MAY 9 ~ Motherly Meditation. Kick-off Mother’s Day morning with a mindfulness trail walk and meditation on the BRLA. Join Spiritual/Recovery coach, Horse Farm owner and BRLA board member John  Baitsell Jr. as he leads a group that explores the connection between Mother Nature, spirituality and meditation. (Non-mothers welcome, of course!)

JUNE 13 ~ Sunday RunDay. Explore Bedford’s backyard trails with a mellow and meandering 4-mile BRLA trail run + group stretch with BRLA Executive Director, Lindsay Hearon

JULY 11 ~ Yoga & Trail Run. Gather for a short guided trail run (2.5 miles) + yoga in the grass (30 minutes) led by local fitness and health coach Kristle O’Brien.

AUGUST 8 ~ Family Hike + Picnic. Pack it in, pack it out! Save the date for a family-friendly hike that starts and finishes at a playground! BYO picnic and stay for lunch and play.

SEPTEMBER 19 ~ Family Nature Walk*. Oohhh & Ahhhh on a guided nature tour of the trails with former science teacher & nature enthusiast Jesse Randol and environmentalist and co-founder of the  Billion Oyster Project, Murray Fisher. (*please note this is the 3rd Sunday due to a conflicting BRLA event on the 12th)

OCTOBER 10 ~ Tails on the Trails! Grab Rover and Cooper for a dog-friendly, group trail-walking playdate. Little dogs and big dogs will take separate loops and meet back for a water bowl buffet. Lemonade provided for their humans.
