With warmer weather fast approaching, Greenwich’s Parks & Recreation Department recently announced that the Griffith E. Harris Golf Club will be opening on Tuesday, March 23.

Club staff had hoped to open this past weekend, but due to saturated grounds from heavy rains, additional time was needed for drying. As a result, there will likely be restrictions on opening day.

Here are some more updates for the facilities at The Griff:

  • The Cobber North restaurant is now open for business.
  • The Pro Shop will open Tuesday for all your gear needs to start the season.
  • Early-Bird pricing ($20 savings) is available on memberships until May 1. Membership offers many benefits, including the ability to make advance reservations, up to 7 days in advance this season.
  • The tee reservation system is open and ready for reservations.
  • Only credit/debit card payments will be accepted. All players must have a reservation to play.

Elsewhere in town, the Skate Park at Roger Sherman Baldwin Park is now open on weekends from noon to 4 p.m. Beginning April 5, it will be open daily. For hours of operation and registration for upcoming skateboard clinics, click here.
