GIFF Announces Community Impact Awards

With the pandemic still very much a daily reality and communities around the world struggling in unprecedented fashion, Greenwich International Film Festival has announced that it will make a large scale impact on the community and bring about much needed positive news during these extraordinary times. GIFF will award one or more charity partners a significant financial grant (up to $100,000) to be used toward the benefit of an underserved portion of the population within the broad community of Fairfield County, Connecticut.  Focus areas for the grant may include education, basic human rights or health care.  The grant may be used to fund new initiatives, expand programs, or subsidize existing programs.  The grant recipient(s) will be announced and presented in February 2021.  

“In honor of our mission to harness the power of film to serve the greater good, Greenwich International Film Festival will be offering Community Impact Awards of up to $100,000 to charities in Fairfield County during this tremendous time of need. We thank our Board and donors for helping us to achieve our mission and provide significant support to the community,” Ginger Stickel, Executive Director, GIFF.

WHO | Any Fairfield County based tax-exempt organization that provides education, health care or basic human rights benefits to those in need.
