Young Artists Philharmonic (YAP) has recently concluded its Fall On-Line Orchestra & Musical Instruction, offered free of charge to students in Greenwich and Stamford.

YAP announces that it will continue its mission to help the young artists of our community by offering its Winter 2021 Season on-line. Featuring world class teachers from Juilliard and Manhattan School of Music, students will enjoy a blended program of engaging musical topics, as well as individualized training for each instrument.

Greg Robbins, former Executive Director and conductor, is now Director of Online Education and will organize the logistics and technology needed to synchronize the musical performances of all musical ensembles. “Since the onset of the pandemic, music institutions have been working tirelessly to adapt musical education to online platforms such as Zoom, to ensure that students do not experience a lapse in this essential area of study. I was fortunate enough to direct large scale online courses this past Summer for the Idyllwild Arts Academy, and brought those procedures and lessons learned to this exciting initiative with YAP.”

Rainer Busch, President of YAP Board of Directors and father of two Young Artists, commented that offering this program free of charge is a special way of celebrating YAP’s incredible 60 year history of training young musicians in the community during this pandemic.

An online concert will be held November 29th, 2020 for YAP families.

Registration is now open for the January 2021 season at: Youngartistsphil.org
