Greenwich Public Schools Superintendent Dr. Toni Jones has appointed Ms. Dana Tulotta as Assistant Headmaster at Greenwich High School, effective July 1, 2020. Most recently, Tulotta held the role of Folsom House Administrator at Greenwich High School and will replace Mr. Richard Piotrzkowski who is retiring at the end of this school year.

“We are excited that Dana will be Assistant Headmaster at Greenwich High School. She’s already been a strong leader on campus as Folsom House Administrator, working closely with students and staff to develop strong relationships to provide guidance and leadership. She also took on many of the responsibilities required of this role in her time as an Interim Assistant Headmaster, and we know she will continue this great work for the entire Greenwich High School community,” said Jones.

Tulotta has spent her entire teaching and administrative career within Greenwich High School. She began her teaching career in Mathematics, teaching a variety of math courses for eleven years before becoming the Program Administrator for Mathematics and the Folsom House Administrator. As House Administrator she oversaw approximately 540 Folsom House students and 60 staff members, facilitated House Pupil Review Team and Pupil Study Team meetings, facilitated Planning and Placement Team (PPT) meetings, worked collaboratively with Assistant Deans to address student behavior, and made connections with Folsom House students and families. In addition to her role as Folsom House Administrator, Tulotta was also the Program Administrator for Mathematics, leading the GHS Mathematics Department in budget management, master scheduling, curriculum development, staff hiring and more. Tulotta also spent the 2018-2019 school year serving as Interim Assistant Headmaster gaining the skills and expertise required of her new role, including helping to maintain the school budget, organization of student standardized assessments, teacher evaluations, student house placement, building the school’s master schedule and more.

Tulotta shared, “The Greenwich High School community has been my second family since I started as an educator in the fall of 2000. I am both honored and excited to continue to work with our students, staff, and families in a new capacity.”

Tulotta holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from Fairfield University, a Master of Science in Special Education from The College of New Rochelle, and she completed a Sixth Year Degree in Educational Administration at the University of Connecticut. Tulotta is a 2007 Greenwich Distinguished Teacher, a Strategic Initiatives Liaison, a member of the CES Mathematics Administrator Council, a NAMES Day Facilitator, in addition to holding a host of other leadership and committee roles.
