Document Greenwich, Share Your Story

Help the Greenwich Historical Society document this extraordinary time in history as they collect materials, photos and stories that speak to our shared experience during the coronavirus pandemic. Photographs, journal entries, letters, emails, Instagram posts, news clippings, poetry or reflections on the sense of isolation, uncertainty, hope, gratitude, unanticipated joy, or fear paint a picture of the human experience in this unprecedented time.

The Historical Society’s archival collection will tell a story of life in Greenwich in 2020 – tell them yours. They would like to hear from a variety of perspectives – young and old, from all parts of town, and in all different circumstances.

Follow all applicable health guidelines and practice social distancing. For now, all items should be in digital format. If there are physical items that you think are relevant, set them aside for now and staff can arrange a time to bring them in for review by Christopher Shields (cshields@greenwichhistory.org), Curator of Library and Archives, when the present crisis is behind us. Note that, upon review, and your signed approval, these submissions would become part of the public collection of the Greenwich Historical Society and would be freely available to all researchers going forward.
