As of today, Friday, April 3, there are 185 Greenwich residents who have tested positive for COVID-19, according to Greenwich Health Director Caroline Baisley. That is up from 165 reported on Thursday, April 2.
Greenwich Hospital reports that as of noon today, Friday, April 3, there were 99 COVID-19 positive patients being treated in several different Hospital units. So far, 84 patients have recovered and have been discharged from the Hospital. To date, 1895 people have been tested at the Hospital’s outpatient tent with 675 testing positive. All of these numbers reflect patients who live in Greenwich as well as from other municipalities in Connecticut and Westchester County.

First Selectman Camillo supports the crackdown on the short-term rentals as ordered by Gov. Ned Lamont’s Executive Order 7T. His order limits the use of hotels and short-stay rentals to essential personnel who may be unable to travel home. It also is designed to discourage out-of-state visitors from reserving these facilities.
“I always encourage people to visit Greenwich. Unfortunately, during this national health crisis, it is imperative that people maintain social distancing and stay at home,” said Mr. Camillo. “I am looking forward to the day, hopefully, not in the too distant future, when Greenwich is better able to welcome visitors who want to patronize our vibrant business community with its shops, restaurants and cultural attractions.”

The Farmers’ Market Guidance has been established in order to assist market managers and farmers in providing a safe environment to sell farm products for sustained food accessibility while limiting potential exposure of COVID-19 to market managers, volunteers, vendors, food, and consumers.
