The League of Women Voters of Greenwich (LWVG) invites its members and the public to a ‘Women Get the Vote!’ Reception on Tuesday, March 10 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., at the Greenwich Historical Society (GHS), 47 Strickland Rd.

The fight for women’s right to vote was a journey supported by many Connecticut women who fought on the local, state, and national levels. Their inspiring stories remind us of the power of our vote and our voice today. Guests will be treated to a tour of “An Unfinished Revolution: The Women’s Suffrage Centennial.”

The League of Women Voters of Greenwich will present awards to the winners of its student essay contest, “What if Women Could Not Vote?” and Pam Dougherty from the Connecticut Women’s Hall of Fame will present “Votes for Women,” from the Connecticut Women’s Hall of Fame’s Talks on the Road lecture series.

The event is free for GHS and LWVG members and $20 for non-members.

Reservations are required to eventslwvg@gmail.com. For tickets and more information: greenwichhistory.org/event/women-get-the-vote-greenwich-league-of-women-voters-reception-2
