More than 300,000 hip replacement surgeries are performed each year in the United States. However, many patients are able to achieve a satisfactory quality of life without going under the knife. Joint Replacement specialist, Kevin Choo, MD, of Orthopaedic & Neurosurgery Specialists (ONS) will outline the non-surgical options for chronic hip pain and osteoarthritis, including medications, physical therapy and injections at a free seminar at Greenwich Hospital on Wednesday, January 8, from 6:00 – 7:30 pm. Q & A will follow the presentation.

Dr. Choo will also discuss when surgery is appropriate and provide an overview of recent advances in the field, including anterior hip replacement, outpatient hip replacement, and the use of computer-assisted surgery.

The event is free and open to the public, but registration is requested. Call 888-305-9253 to register, or register online at greenwichhospital.org.
