Greenwich Hospital will host “Mental Health First Aid: A Training Course” on Thursday, Nov. 21 and Friday, Nov. 22 from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., at Greenwich Town Hall, 101 Field Point Rd.
This interactive course focuses on the warning signs and how to help if someone you know is anxious, depressed, suicidal, delusional, or abusing drugs or alcohol. This course is for individuals who interact with the public (first responders, school personnel, healthcare professionals, youth group leaders, faith-based leaders) as well as the general public (parents and teens).
The event is free and participants must attend both sessions to receive certification. Pre-registration is required as seating is limited to 30 people. Sponsored by Community Health at Greenwich Hospital. For information and registration, call 203-863-4444. Box lunch included.
