Jane Brody

Jane Brody, whose sage, down-to-earth reporting on health issues for The New York Times, enjoyed by millions of people, notes that every brain changes with age and mental function changes along with it. But, while we can expect some mental decline with age, cognitive impairment is not inevitable.

Brody will share her wisdom and humor at a luncheon to benefit The Friends of Nathaniel Witherell on Thursday, Nov. 7, at Greenwich Country Club, beginning at 11:30 a.m. The luncheon will raise funds to create essential quality of life programs for Greenwich senior citizens that live at the Nathaniel Witherell, the only Town-owned and operated skilled nursing facility in Connecticut.

Brody, the Times’s personal health columnist will speak about “Cultivating a Young Brain: How to Keep Your Brain Healthy as You Age.” In her presentation, Brody will highlight what works to support brain health as you age.

Greenwich Country Club is located at 19 Doubling Rd. Tickets are: $250 for a “Friend,” $350 for a “Best Friend,” and $500 for a BFF. Tables of ten are also available. For tickets, sponsorship opportunities, or further information about the luncheon, please contact Scott Neff at sneff@friendsofwitherell.org or call 203-618-4227.
