The Friends and Staff of the Cos Cob Library welcome the 9th biennial exhibit of the Common Threads Quilters, Nov. 4 through Dec. 14 at the Cos Cob Library, 5 Sinawoy Rd.
In the early 1990’s a diverse group of women with a common love of quilts founded Common Threads Quilters. Their goals were to designate time for work on individual projects; share ideas, techniques and enthusiasms; and to promote the art and craft of quilt making in our community. The members live in the greater Greenwich area and meet regularly in the Cos Cob Library Community Room. In the spring of 2001 Common Threads Quilts was the first major exhibit in the new Cos Cob Library building.
“Quilts of Common Threads 2019” Opening Reception will take place on Saturday, Nov. 9, 3 to 5 p.m., hosted by The Friends of the Cos Cob Library. The exhibit may be viewed during library hours: Monday, 12 to 8 p.m., Tuesday to Saturday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Please call the library at 203-622-6883 to be sure the exhibit areas are available for viewing.
