Tree of Life Anniversary Commemoration at GRS

Oct. 25 marks the anniversary of the shooting which took the lives of eleven innocent Jews at the Tree of Life synagogue in Pittsburgh.

Last year, millions of people of all faiths rallied around the AJC #ShowUpForShabbat initiative, packing synagogues in what became the largest-ever expression of solidarity with the American Jewish community.

For the one-year anniversary, AJC is again calling on all people of good conscience to #ShowUpForShabbat. Please come to Greenwich Reform Synagogue, 92 Orchard St., to honor the victims and raise our collective voice for a world free of antisemitism, hate, and bigotry.

All are welcome to join in for Shabbat refreshments at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 25, followed by services at 7 p.m. Attendees will honor the memory of the fallen by lighting a candle for each one, as well as the victim of the Poway, California shooting earlier this year.

Please contact the GRS office if you have any questions at 203-629-0018.
