The Astronomical Society of Greenwich and Greenwich Audubon Center partner to present: “Is there life elsewhere in the Universe?” – on Sunday, Oct. 27 at 3:30 p.m., in the Gallery of Audubon, 613 Riversville Rd.

Are there places in the Solar System other than the Earth where life exists, or might have existed in the past? How would we find it? What do we need to know to make the case that something is alive?

Led by Dr. Lawrence Faltz, Professor of Medicine at the Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell, and former Chief Medical Officer of Phelps Hospital, Center in Greenwich. Faltz was also president of the Westchester Amateur Astronomers from 2013 until 2018.

Faltz will discuss how we define life physically and chemically, the history of life on Earth, where we might look for it elsewhere in our Solar System and how we might detect life beyond the Solar System.

The event is free and open to the public. For more information, contact 203-869 5272 or visit greenwich.audubon.org
