Young Artists Philharmonic Presents ‘The Physics of Music’

Young Artists Philharmonic (YAP) presents a special event on “The Physics of Music,” Thursday, Oct. 17 at 5 p.m. at The Greenwich Arts Council (GAC), 299 Greenwich Ave.

Maestro Benjamin Grow and Greenwich High School Physics teacher Sarah Zeegan explain the science behind music. Some of the questions that will be explored: Where do musical pitches come from? What makes something sound in-tune? Why do instruments sound different from one another? Physics can answer these questions.
