Greenwich police, fire and EMS personnel responded to a construction site at 702 Steamboat Road at approximately 8:10 a.m., on Thursday morning on a report that a seawall had given way and a forklift had fallen into Greenwich Harbor.

According to the Greenwich Police Department, “the operator of the forklift was shaken up and wet after being helped out of the water by co-workers, but escaped serious injury.”

Part of the seawall located to the rear of the property appeared to have collapsed causing the forklift to roll over into the water.
