More than 700,000 total knee replacement surgeries are performed annually in the United States, but most patients are able to achieve a satisfactory quality of life without surgery. Joint replacement expert, Dr. Kevin Choo of Orthopaedic & Neurosurgery Specialists (ONS) will address this topic at a free seminar on Wednesday, Sept. 11 from 6 to 7:30 p.m., at Greenwich Hospital.

Dr. Choo will explain the many non-surgical options for chronic knee pain and osteoarthritis, including medications, therapy, injections and bracing. He will also discuss when surgery is appropriate and provide an overview of recent advances in the field, including partial joint replacement, and the use of computer-assisted surgery. Q & A will follow the presentation.

The event is free and open to the public, but registration is requested. Call 888-305-9253 to register, or register online at greenwichhospital.org
