Neighbor to Neighbor announced that the Board of Directors has named Mary Beth Minton as its Interim Executive Director.

Minton, who previously was a long-time Greenwich resident, brings a strong nonprofit background, as well as an MBA in Finance from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. She most recently was finance director of a non-profit delivering meditation and emotional intelligence training in New York City. Previously, Minton co-founded and ran a children’s toy start-up for 10 years. Prior to that, she was executive director of the largest HIV/AIDS fundraising organization in Connecticut. Her experience in the non-profit world also includes many charity board and volunteer roles.

“I am grateful for the opportunity to support Neighbor during this time of transition, and work in collaboration with the board, staff, volunteers, funders and community partners as we continue to fulfill our mission to improve the lives of our neighbors by providing access to food, clothing and other life essentials,” Minton shared. “I look forward to upholding the critical role we have in our community to serve those in need with dignity and respect.”

Neighbor to Neighbor’s Board of Directors’ Search Committee has initiated a search that will take place over the summer for a new permanent Executive Director.

“We are excited that Mary Beth will serve in this capacity as we continue implementing our transition plan to find a permanent executive director,” stated Kip Burgweger, Neighbor to Neighbor’s President. “Neighbor is committed more than ever to building upon our successes and working to improve the lives of residents in need and strengthen our community.”
