Artist Kay Griffith begins her world tour before her appearance at the 2019 London Biennale, at C. Parker Gallery in Greenwich, on Thursday, April 25. The exhibit, titled “A Moment in Time” will showcase Griffith’s work, which employ oils on canvas with the masterful use of palette knives. Griffith, named a “Top 60 Masters of Contemporary Arts” by Art Tour International Magazine, will appear at the gallery for the opening reception on April 25 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

“Kay Griffith is looking forward to launching her tour in Greenwich and we’re delighted to showcase her work,” said Tiffany Benincasa, C. Parker Gallery owner. “This exhibition opening coincides with the annual American Red Cross Ball where we have donated a specially commissioned painting by Griffith, encrusted with diamond dust and entitled “Radiant Hope.” This painting is currently on display at Greenwich jewelers Shreve, Crump & Low.” In addition to this donation, a portion of proceeds from the “A Moment in Time” opening night will also be donated to the American Red Cross.

Kay states, “All of us are aware that art in all its forms serves as universal language for humanity. Additional to connecting us, paintings can highlight the uniqueness of every person. My abstracts stir emotions and often engender conversation that spotlight individual differences in imagination, thought, and analysis. I respect every individual’s unique identity and encourage them to experience my abstracts, to think for themselves, feel what they feel, and set their imagination free!”

Kay Griffith’s Show “A Moment in Time” is part of an ongoing series by C. Parker Gallery that focuses on bringing top contemporary artists to our community with events that connects individuals of all ages to art.
