Greenwich Police Investigating Serious King Street Crash

Update, Wednesday, April 10, 11:15 a.m.

Police continue to investigate a serious bus crash that occurred on King Street on Tuesday afternoon. Ten people were transported to area hospitals for treatment of injuries after the crash. Among the injured were seven adults with special needs. All of the injured are reported to be in good to fair condition.

Greenwich Police are investigating a serious crash on King Street which involved two buses. A Countrywide Transportation bus and a Royal Coach Lines school bus collided around 3 p.m. today. In total, ten adults were transported to area hospitals with injuries, none of which appear to be life threatening.

A preliminary investigation has determined that one bus was traveling northbound and one was traveling southbound when they collided.

The Countrywide Transportation was occupied by nine people, including the driver and seven special needs adults.

The Royal Coach Lines bus was only occupied by the driver.

Several people stopped to help the injured while Police, Fire, and EMS were responding to the scene.
