“Innovation Experience” will take place at Greenwich Library’s Main Building, 101 West Putnam Ave., on Saturday, April 6 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. With more than a dozen interactive projects, workshops, and presentations this family friendly day will be both educational and entertaining.

“We’re excited to provide a variety of STEAM opportunities for children and adults to experience tools and new technologies, and in the process, gain knowledge and skills,” said Barbara Ormerod-Glynn, Library Director. “In addition, visitors will watch drones take flight, walk down ‘main street’ next to a glider, and wear a virtual reality headset. A fun and unique day at the Library!”

The Innovation Experience provides a preview of the programs the Library will offer after the completion of its renovation project, scheduled to begin in July and to take approximately 16 months to complete. In the Library’s new Innovation Lab, to be named for Raj and Indra Nooyi, people will have access to state-of-the-art tools and materials for robotics, 3D printing, and more.
