Greenwich Reform Synagogue and the Stamford JCC announce the opening of their new preschool. The school, operated by the JCC at the brand new-state-of-the-art Cos Cob synagogue, will be open in September for the 2019-2020 school year. Utilizing a developmentally-appropriate, play-based curriculum for children ages two to five, the school will recognize and celebrate individual differences and the unique pace at which each child learns. JCC CEO Marshall Kurland shared, “The JCC and GRS have complimentary missions, each with a stated goal of building a positive and supportive community.  We recognize the critical role our children, the future leaders of our community, play in building a better future and we are committed in investing together today for a better tomorrow.”

The new home of Greenwich Reform, at 92 Orchard St., opened in May 2017, and was designed from the beginning to accommodate a preschool.  GRS President Ken Greenberg explained: “We are thrilled to share our home with the Stamford JCC preschool.  Their widely acclaimed programs are the perfect complement to the welcoming and inclusive spirit of the GRS community.”

The GRS playground is now under construction; completion is expected in early spring, weather permitting.
