The Department of Parks and Recreation announces that online registration for Coed T-Ball will begin on Jan. 28. Residents can sign up online at greenwichct.gov/webtrac and select activity registration. Mail in registration will begin on Feb. 11. In person registration begins Monday, Feb. 25.
There are two separate T-Ball programs for children who are four and five years of age. Four-year-old T-Ball is for children that will turn four by April 30, 2019. The children will learn the basics of T Ball with volunteer parent coaches. Small sided games will be played between their teammates. The program will meet from 12:15 to 1 p.m. every Saturday from April 27 to June 8, weather permitting.
Five-year-old T-Ball is for children who will turn five by April 30, 2019. In this program the children will be divided into teams and practice will precede a 2 inning game vs another team. Parents will receive a schedule, and games will be played at designated times between 1 and 5 p.m. each Saturday for 1 hour. Volunteer dads and moms will supervise and coach each team.
Children turning six years old by April 30, 2019, are not eligible. Please see the Parks and Recreation Small Fry program for information for those children.
The program will meet on Saturday afternoons April 27 to June 8 at the Barradas field next to the Bendheim Western Greenwich Civic Center. The cost of the program is $95 and includes a team shirt and hat.
