On Thursday, Jan. 17, Dr. Dan Villiers, co-founder of the Anxiety Institute in Greenwich, will give a free talk titled “In the Trenches: Family Impact and Parenting Strategies for Anxiety and OCD.” Villiers will discuss what it feels like to have anxiety, how anxiety can look different across child, adolescent, and young adult development, and the treatment and family interventions that have proven effective. The event will take place at 7:30 p.m. at Greenwich Town Hall, 101 Field Point Rd. The event is free of charge and open to the public. Call 203-400-6264 for more information.

Beginning Saturday, Jan. 19, NAMI Southwest CT will begin a Family-to-Family class for family members, partners, friends and significant others of adults living with mental health challenges. It is a free, 12-session class taught by NAMI-trained family members with lived experience. The class will meet from 9:15 to 11:45 a.m. on Saturday mornings and will be held at Greenwich Hospital, Hyde Conference Room, 5 Perryridge Rd.
