Hilda Torelli, 1925-2018, slipped peacefully from this life on Nov. 30 at 93 years of age. Her life was one of dedication and love to and for her husband Caesar of 60 years, her five children and their spouses: Roger and Mariella Torelli of Westerly, R.I., Audrey and Michael Vitulli of Rye, N.Y., Thomas and Megan of Greenwich, CT, Lawrence Torelli of Palm Springs, Calif. and Adrianne and Dwight Straub of White Plains, N.Y. She was blessed with eight grandchildren; Vanessa Wilt, Christina George, Alex and Lea Torelli. Kelsey, Matthew and Robert Straub, Lexi Torelli and two great-grandchildren, Abigail and Ryan George.

Hilda migrated to this country from Havana, Cuba. She became a citizen and adopted this country as her home. She cherished both her Catholic faith and citizenship in this great country. Her joy in life was sharing her many blessings and talents with friends and family. She loved travel, visiting Europe with her husband and children on many occasions. Indeed, her photo books are a treasure trove of happy times she so generously shared with us all, overseas and at home. Wherever she made home, it was always a warm gathering place for generations of family and friends. Her sense of graciousness, style and hospitality was evident to all who spent time with her. Her joy of life and appreciation of family is something that has left its mark on us all. There will be a private Catholic ceremony and burial for family. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to your charity of choice in her name.
