The Greenwich United Way Community Planning Council’s Annual Legislative Breakfast will be held on Thursday, Dec. 6 in the Greenwich Town Hall Meeting Room. The event takes place from 7:30 (program starts at 8) to 9 a.m. and is open to all, including residents, local organizations and service agencies, town government employees, and other community leaders involved in local health and human services.

Greenwich United Way CEO, David Rabin, will welcome the panelists and moderate the discussion. This year’s panel will include: State Representatives Mike Bocchino, Alfred Camillo, Livvy Floren, State Sen. Scott Frantz, State Senator-elect Steve Meskers, State Senator-elect Alexandra Bergstein and Greenwich First Selectman Peter Tesei.

The annual forum provides an opportunity for sharing information, discussion and an overview of priorities and collaborative efforts.

Legislators will be asked about topics around human service needs and trends, the need for more reliable, safe and accessible public transportation, and the recent ALICE (Asset Limited Income Constrained Employed) report from the United Ways of Connecticut that highlights the financial hardships facing approximately 30% of working families in the state.
