Byram Library Holiday Tree Lighting, Open House

The holiday season begins officially at the Byram Shubert Library Saturday, Dec. 1 at 4 p.m., with its Friends of the Byram Shubert Library’s annual Holiday Tree Lighting and Open House. The community gathers for an evening of music, crafts for the children, an international potluck supper and, perhaps, a surprise visitor. There are signup sheets at the library’s Front Desk to indicate what food you are bringing.

It is a fun event for everyone, beginning with the magic moment when the lights appear on the tree, continuing as guests make their way to the Friends Community Room where the buffet is arranged. The music continues throughout the party as Bob Leinbach plays songs of the season. Children’s laughter resounds as they make craft projects to take home and choose a book, a gift from the Friends, to take home and enjoy.

The event is free. For more information: 203-531-0426 or gmirsky@greenwichlibrary.org
