Kashulon Foundation Supports Kids In Crisis

Kids In Crisis, the area’s only free, round-the-clock crisis counseling center and emergency shelter for children of all ages, announced  that it has received a $5,000 grant from the John and Ethel Kashulon Foundation.

The mission of the John and Ethel Kashulon Foundation is to improve people’s lives through the funding of programs whose mission and projects align with three unified goals of enhancing Educational, Children’s and Cultural opportunities.

“We are very grateful for this gift from the Kashulon Foundation, which will help us provide assistance to even more children and families in crisis,” said Kids In Crisis Executive Director Shari Shapiro.

Established in 1978 in Cos Cob, CT, Kids In Crisis (www.kidsincrisis.org) helps children, teens and families who are facing varying degrees of crisis such as: domestic violence, family conflicts, mental, physical and emotional problems, substance abuse, homelessness, and more. Kids In Crisis does this by being Connecticut’s only free, round-the-clock agency providing emergency shelter for children of all ages, providing family crisis counseling, and offering community outreach and education, programs.
