Greenwich Reform Synagogue (GRS) announces it will be offering the following classes:

“Introduction to Judaism” – Tuesdays at 7 p.m.
Join Rabbi Jordie Gerson at GRS for the Introduction to Judaism course, twice a month, throughout the school year. The class will cover Jewish holidays, values, history and God, and is a refresher course for Jews by birth, a supplemental course for Jews by choice (or those considering conversion) and a chance to ask questions. The 90-minute class will be taught by Rabbi Gerson with occasional guest teachers, and will be followed by an optional half hour adult b’nei mitzvah prep supplement. Call 203-629-0018 to register.

“Talmud Study” – Wednesday, Nov. 14 at 7:30 p.m.
How did the Rabbis in the Talmud experience, explain, combat, and find meaning in anti-Semitism? Discover the answers to these and related questions as you take a journey through the first two millennia of Jewish history, experience, and thought.
Teacher David Rappoport studied in yeshivot in France, New York and Israel, and was a practicing rabbi in Switzerland. He’s been teaching the higher art of Talmudic study for over 30 years. Rappoport now lives in Greenwich where he practices the lower art of quantitative finance. Call 203-629-0018 to RSVP.

Check grs.org for upcoming class dates.
