Musicians from Marlboro Perform in First Concert of the Season

On Sunday, Nov. 11 at 4 p.m., the Friends Cole Concert Series presents the first Marlboro performance of the 2018-2019 season in the Cole Auditorium of the Greenwich Library.

The first program of the season begins with Dvořák’s Miniatures, Op. 75a, followed by Bartók’s String Quartet No. 4. Concluding the program is Dvořák’s Piano Trio in F Minor, Op. 65, a masterpiece that defines European chamber music and is full of emotional intensity.

Artists include Zoltán Fejérvári on piano, Robyn Bollinger on violin, Soovin Kim on violin, Hwayoon Lee on viola, Tony Rymer on cello, and Alice Yoo on cello.

Now in its 54th season, Musicians from Marlboro, the touring extension of the Marlboro Music Festival in Vermont is noted not only for their joyous and thoroughly prepared performances but also for offering valuable touring experience to artists at the beginning of their careers and for featuring programs of unusual as well as beloved chamber repertoire.
