Diane Cadavid passed away on Oct. 23, 2018 in Greenwich, CT. Born in Queens, N.Y., on Jan. 20, 1962, she was the daughter of Maria and Guy Avitabile. She is survived by her spouse of 20 years, Francis DeNicola, her son, Nicholas Cadavid and his wife Kristi, her daughter, Erica Cadavid and her fiance Jenna, and her loving dog, Bootsie. She is also survived by her mother, Maria Avitabile, sister Maria and her husband David Stich, brother Thomas Avitabile, her nieces and nephews, Stephanie, Mark, and Christopher, and her step-children Matthew and Amy DeNicola, her husband Daniel Hickman and their daughter, Mia. She was predeceased by her father, Guy Avitabile.
Diane will be remembered for her generosity and strength. She was always the first person to help someone in need. Her smile and laughter were contagious to all who came in contact with her and will be truly missed by all who knew her. She was a real estate agent in Stamford and Greenwich, CT for many years and took pride in her relationships with her customers and coworkers.
Calling hours will be on Friday, Oct. 26 from 4 to 8 p.m., at Leo P Gallagher Funeral Home, 31 Arch St. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, Oct. 27 at 10 a.m. at St Catherine of Siena Church, 4 Riverside Ave., with entombment to follow at the St. Joseph Mausoleum in Putnam Cemetery.
