Anna Martello, of Greenwich, passed away Monday, Oct. 22. She was 97. Born March 3, 1921 in Manhattan, N.Y. to Battista and Madalena Quidaciolu.
Anna worked for many years as co-owner and bookkeeper for Sam’s Package Store. She was the beloved wife of the late Samuel Martello. Anna is survived by her loving children Claudia Martello Ginter, Madeline Martello Drummond (William) and John Martello (Marla); her cherished grandchildren Jennifer Alves (Nelson), Christopher Drummond (Amanda), Michelle Andrasi (James) and Jessica Yandell (Jason); and ten great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her dear sister Catherine Strazza.
To honor her life, family and friends will gather Thursday, Oct. 25 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Coxe & Graziano Funeral Home, 134 Hamilton Ave. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, Oct. 26 at 10 a.m., at Sacred Heart Church, Byram. Entombment to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Greenwich. In lieu of flowers, please donate to Saint Jude or Smile Train.
