On Saturday, Oct. 20, Sour Milk will bring together 20 artists to utilize the latent potential of a vacant home. The house’s original purpose to provide comfort and shelter for human inhabitants has been subverted by its abandonment. The group of selected artists will be given 48 hours to transform the house with their own visions. Following the installation, the doors will be opened to the public to experience the dramatic but fleeting renovation. After the exhibition closes, the house will be permanently destroyed, leaving only a memory trace behind.
The opening reception will occur at 73 Orchard Pl., from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m. The event is free and open to the public. Guests can expect to experience a unique immersive art experience, live music, and food and drinks provided by sponsors.
