Jane Insinga

Jane Ponger Insinga, born Nov. 15, 1925, passed away Sept. 25, 2018. Jane was the daughter of the late William Ponger and Helen Frescura Ponger. She was predeceased by her husband Lewis Insinga and by sister Doris Ponger Benedick. Jane is survived by sisters Helen Ponger Mitchell and Diane Ponger Eberly; she is also survived by many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews who adored her. Jane worked for the NY Telephone for 37 years. After retirement, she volunteered as a tour guide at the Bush Holley House for 20 years. She was an active member of St. Mary Guild.

Viewing hours are Tuesday, Oct. 2 from 4 to 8 p.m., at Knapp Funeral Home, 267 Greenwich Ave. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, Oct. 3 at 10 a.m. in St. Mary’s Church, 178 Greenwich Ave., followed by interment at St. Mary’s Cemetery. Donations may be made to St. Mary Parish and please follow Jane’s credo which was, “Above All be Kind.” Perform an act of kindness in her honor.
