Autumn’s brilliant oranges, reds and golds set against a clear blue sky often inspire many New England artists. In celebration of this colorful season, the Art Society of Old Greenwich (ASOG) presents the 2018 Autumn Art Show at the Greenwich Botanical Center. Here, ASOG members will show their inspired artwork from Tuesday, Oct. 2 to Friday, Oct. 26.

Art lovers will enjoy a delightful array of artworks, landscapes, still lifes, abstracts, portraits, in a variety of media. ASOG member artists will exhibit works in watercolor, oil, acrylic, drawing/graphics, photography, mixed media, and sculpture.

The Greenwich Botanical Center, formerly known as Garden Education Center, 130 Bible St., is open Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. There is free parking on premises. An artists’ reception will take place on Sunday, Oct. 7 from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Center. Refreshments will be served, and award winners will be announced. The exhibit and reception are open to the public and free of charge.

Judge for this show is Professor John Richardson, Department Head of the UCONN Art and Art History Department. Professor Richardson’s sculpture, prints, and drawings are exhibited and collected nationally and internationally.

Cash awards will be presented to First place winners at the reception. For more information, visit: sites.google.com/site/artsocietyofoldgreenwich
