“Go For Pink” is a series of events Breast Cancer Alliance (BCA) dedicates to Breast Cancer Awareness Month in collaboration with the Town of Greenwich and many of its merchants. The kickoff on Oct. 1 will bring the local community together for special days of shopping, dining and educational forums in the Town of Greenwich throughout the month of October, raising awareness and critical funds furthering BCA’s mission of eradicating breast cancer.

Go For Pink will start at 9 a.m. with a flag raising ceremony at Greenwich Town Hall, with First Selectman Peter Tesei and Dr. Barbara Ward, Director of Breast Care Services, Greenwich Hospital. A “Breakfast and conversation” will follow at 9:30, at Richards, with Dr. Linda LaTrenta (radiology) and Dr. Barbara Ward (breast surgery), Greenwich Hospital, Dr. Richard Zelkowitz (oncology), Norwalk Hospital and Dr. Frank Masino (radiation oncology), Stamford Hospital.

Participating merchants will be making a donation to BCA, with in-store, online sales and donations of items to BCA’s annual benefit luncheon. Visit breastcanceralliance.org for updated shopping, dining and events at participating stores and restaurants.
