Arguimbau Art Gallery kicks off its fall exhibitions with new works on Friday, Sept. 21, with an opening reception from 5 to 7 p.m., at the gallery located at 351 Greenwich Ave. The exhibits include:

Florals by Patt Baldino: A gifted artist whose award winning still lifes reveal her keen eye for dramatic composition and rich palette invite us to explore a pinpoint for light on a glass or a play of shadows in greater depth.

Sculptures by Paige Bradley: As a leading figurative sculptor of our generation, Bradley’s work captures the light of the human spirit and the power of the body while grasping the beautiful mortality that is both fragile and fierce.

Sea and Landscapes by Peter Layne Arguimbau: Renowned for his classical marines, Arguimbau is a light effect painter who also paints varied subjects recreating the luminescence of the Old Masters. He is currently writing a book, Rembrandt’s Lost Secret, reconstructing the mysterious ‘Flemish Technique’, a stored paint formula that has eluded artists and scholars for centuries.
