The Annual Sidewalk Art Show and Sale, sponsored by the Art Society of Old Greenwich (ASOG), will bring a festive array of colorful artworks to Sound Beach Avenue on Saturday, Sept. 8 and Sunday, Sept. 9, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days.

In this annual celebration of the arts, there is something for everyone. Artworks in a variety of subjects: portraits, florals, still life, nature, animals, landscapes, seascapes, cityscapes and more in a range of artistic styles from realistic to abstract. Media include watercolor, oil, acrylic, drawing/graphics, photography, pastel, and mixed media. To add to the festivity, there will be a live jazz performance by Lucas Gazianis, jazz pianist and member of the Jazz at Lincoln Center Youth Orchestra.

A feature of this event is the Sidewalk Art Show for Young Artists, where children and teens (up to age 17) will exhibit their paintings, drawings, collages, and photography. Their vibrant and imaginative artwork will be located at the Frontier offices on Sound Beach Avenue (south of CVS).

Come view this lively art show, enjoy the music and bring family and friends. Many Sound Beach Avenue merchants offer sidewalk sales, and local cafes set out tables for dining al fresco.

There is no admission charged to the viewing public for either art show.

All artists, adults and children, are welcome to submit artworks to these non-juried shows. You do not need to be a member of the ASOG. Please see the ASOG website for submission dates, locations and artist entry fees: sites.google.com/site/artsocietyofoldgreenwich
