The annual Island Beach Two Mile Swim will take place on Saturday, Aug. 4 at 8:30 a.m. The event is sponsored by the Town of Greenwich and the Greenwich Swim Committee.
Swimmers should report to Greenwich Harbor at 6:45 a.m. for registration and board the Island Beach ferry at 7:15 a.m. The race course will be marked by buoys and protected by official boats. The entry fee is $75. Wetsuits are allowed but swimmers wearing wetsuits will be ineligible for awards. Participants must be 18 years of age or older. Refreshments will be served following the race.
