By Richard Kaufman

The Greenwich Police Department is investigating a flurry of thefts from motor vehicles in Cos Cob, which occurred overnight Sunday, July 15 into the early morning hours of Monday, July 16.

“A variety of valuables were stolen from cars in the Cos Cob area of town,” police said in a press release Tuesday.

Sgt. John Thorme of the Community Impact Section said that all the vehicles involved were left unlocked. Thorme advised residents that the best way to avoid these kinds of thefts is to lock car doors and take the keys. Also, avoid leaving valuables in vehicles, especially where they are easily seen.
